Dental insurance makes taking care of your family’s smiles more affordable, and seeing a dentist that is in-network on your plan can reduce your out-of-pocket expense even further. That is why the team at Devoted Family Dental Phoenix is in-network with a few carriers including Delta Dental. Delta Dental has been offering dental benefits coverage for more than 60 years and has the largest network of dentists in the United States. You are lucky to be employed by a company that has chosen a reliable carrier for your dental benefits. And the best way to take full advantage of your benefits is by scheduling preventive care including regular dental checkups in our dental office.

There are three Delta Dental benefits plans available:

  • Delta Dental PPOSM
  • Delta Dental Premier®
  • DeltaCare®USA (Delta’s DHMO-type closed network plan)

You are able to visit any licensed dentist you choose under Delta Dental PPO or Delta Dental Premier. Keep in mind, however, that you will probably be able to save more money seeing a Delta dentist in Phoenix at Devoted Family Dental Phoenix. DeltaCare USA requires you to choose a primary care dentist from the network.

Delta Dental’s coverage for a specified procedure depends on the plan you have and the dentist you see. Most Delta Dental PPO and Premier plans cover a designated percentage of the total cost. Beyond this, the amount you pay depends on the dentist’s fee.

In almost all cases, your cost will likely be lower when you choose an in-network Phoenix dentist at Devoted Family Dental Phoenix. Some plans have a table of allowance to show the dollar amount covered for each procedure. You pay the difference between the allowance and our accepted fee. Prepaid plans, like DeltaCare USA, have set copayments for each service, so you can calculate in advance what your out-of-pocket expense will be.

The majority of Delta Dental insurance plans provide benefits within a certain time period, usually a year. Your plan will also probably have annual maximums and limits that are applied to each member of your family. Our front office team will be glad to work with you to make sure you get the most out of your benefits without exceeding the maximum or limit.
